Robin Gibb's widow says he ignored doctors' advice

Robin Gibb's widow says his refusal to follow the advice of his doctors may have led to his death from cancer. Dwina Gibb tells London's Daily Mail that Robin was told to get regular scans after an October 2010 operation for an intestinal blockage. Instead, he kept busy with his career commitments, including shows overseas.

Dwina says, "Despite all his wonderful ways, Robin could be very stubborn and he never liked bad news -- he just didn't want to know. He went to do a show in New Zealand as they'd just experienced an earthquake. Maybe it was very important for him to do that show, but it was still important for him to have his scans."

Gibb was diagnosed last year with colon and liver cancer, which killed him in May.
